Emmanuel Charitable & Educational Trust is an evangelical mission founded as part of Emmanuel Ministries in Tenkasi, Tamil Nadu, India in 1989 by Dr. Sam George. We hold firmly to the following beliefs:
-
-
We believe in one God — eternal, omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent, existing as three Persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, one in nature, attributes, power, and glory (Genesis 1:1, 26, Mark 12:29, Matthew 28:19, II Corinthians 13:14, John 1:1–4, 14, 18).
-
We believe the Bible to be fully and uniquely inspired by the Holy Spirit, and that it is the only authoritative, inerrant and infallible written Word of God (2 Timothy 3:15-17, Hebrews 1:1-2, 2 Peter 1:21).
-
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and substitutionary and atoning act through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal, visible return in power and great glory (Isaiah 7:14, John 1:1, Acts 1:11, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, Hebrews 7:26).
-
We believe that man was created in the image of God, was tempted by Satan, and by his disobedience to God he fell into a state of sin; because of that now all mankind is in a depraved and corrupt state needing the redemption and salvation that only God can provide in Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit in regeneration (Genesis 1:26-31, John 3:5, Romans 3:23, 5:12).
-
We believe that salvation consists in, the forgiveness of sins, the imputation of Christ’s righteousness, and the gift of eternal life, received by grace through faith alone apart from works (John 3:16, Romans 8:1, Ephesians 2:8-9, 1 John 1:9).
-
We believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling and ministry the Christian is being sanctified and empowered to live a Godly life and to serve as a unified body of believers (John 14:16-17, 15:26, Acts 1:8, Ephesians 4:30).
-
We believe that the true Church, The Body of Christ, is composed of all those who have been redeemed , and that the Church in its visible and local manifestation is the appointed instrument for the fulfillment of Christ’s Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 15:4, Ephesians 1:22-23, 5:25-32).
-
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, and them that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation (Matthew 25:46, Philippians 3:20-21).
-
We believe in striving to obey the two greatest commandments-loving God with all our hearts, and loving our neighbors as ourselves (Matthew 22:36-40, Mark 12:30-31, Luke 10:27).
-
As true ambassadors of LORD Jesus Christ, we believe in offering help for today and hope for tomorrow, to as many as possible without preference, conditions, or discrimination (2 Corinthians 5:20).

RELIGIOUS FREEDOM
While we do not hesitate to share the good news, the Gospel of Jesus Christ that has changed our lives, we deeply respect the God-given right of every human being to decide personally what he or she chooses to believe. We respect every person’s free will and are opposed to all forms of forced conversion including proselytism through bribery, heavy persuasion, coercion, or deception.
